I don’t see the three-dot animation on my install at TheSailingChannel.tv. Do I have to add anything to my code and republish?

Ok Max. The problem is, that the animation is not visible during “design mode”.
Only in the published URL it is visible. That is/was the problem.
So I need to check in another browser window.

Yep, Custom JS codes don’t work in the editor, only upon the widget’s installation and there’s no way to change this behavior:
