Sales and Views Counter for Products - Social Proof (Conversion/Marketing Booster)

How many people have viewed or bought your product in a certain timeframe - counter.

Social proof is a powerful marketing concept that can increase sales. It basically shows people that your product is popular. This can give visitors trust to buy your product too.

I think the best way is to but such a counter directly next to the product or buy button.

Below some screenshots of companies already using this concept too.

Amazon - Number of sales last month

Ebay - Watched and sales counter

@Darius A huge thank you for such a thorough description of your use case!

I got your idea! I agree that this app would be a great addition to our app catalog. If your idea gets more votes, we’ll try to think it over in one of our future updates :slightly_smiling_face:

OK I used chatgpt for this so its more technical, but bear with me, "social proof widget” to build trust and hype under any product, event, or service.

:wrench: Customisable Options

  • Action Label: “Liked by,” “Signed up,” “Joined,” “Registered,” etc.

  • Name Highlight: Show a featured name (e.g., “Tony”) + auto-rotate names every few seconds.

  • Avatar Bubble Row: Circular profile images (real or autogenerated), just like IG/LinkedIn

  • Count Label: “+30 others,” “+127 more”

  • Hover State: On hover, expand to show names or scrollable list

  • Manual Overrides: Let you set fake count/names for early traction (“social seeding”)

  • Clickable CTA: Tap the widget to see full list or learn more/join

:electric_plug: Where to use it

  • Product pages

  • Event pages

  • Group/class sign-ups

  • Waitlists

  • Community sections

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and ideas, @Code_5_Fitness!

It sounds like you’d like to see exactly who viewed, liked, or signed up, and also have the option to add that data manually. Is that right?

If so, the widget would need to receive data from your website to track new likes, sign-ups, and so on, which is a fairly complex process. At the moment, this is beyond the scope of our widgets, but I’ll keep your request to our wishlist for future consideration

I see that you’re using the Sales Notification widget for this purpose, and currently it’s the best way to implement your use case
