Request for JSON-LD Code for Rich Snippets

Hi,

:white_check_mark::exclamation: I am looking to implement rich snippets on my website, particularly to display star ratings in Google search results. After some research, I found that the current tool I’m using, Elfsight, does not support this feature. I’ve been informed that I need to use a JSON-LD code to achieve this.

:white_check_mark::exclamation:Could you please provide this code and let me know where to add it? Alternatively, could you implement this feature automatically for all users?

:white_check_mark::exclamation: Implementing this feature will benefit everyone. If our websites earn more trusts thanks to these enhancements, we are more likely to purchase long-term subscriptions from you. Additionally, positive word-of-mouth from satisfied users like us can attract new customers who are likely to stay for the long term. Please consider implementing this important feature.

:green_circle::exclamation: After you do this, can you check what you did with this tester from Google

:white_check_mark::exclamation: Find out how many reviews you should show so they don’t slow down our load website. I think 15 reviews is a good limit, and this number should be set automatically. Make sure to check this to ensure reviews and their star ratings are displayed properly.

:green_circle: Thank you!

Hi @George7

Schema markup is supported in our Reviews apps, so the rich snippets are displayed in most cases.

I’ve checked one of your widgets and see that it’s installed on this page. If you check this page in Rich Results Test, you’ll see that the markup works fine:

However, the thing is that rich snippets don’t work with homepages, that’s why you don’t see stars and rating in search results. It’s a decision by Google to not show the rich snippets on homepages and, unfortunately, there is nothing we can do with it.

I hope this explains things.

If you have widgets installed on pages other than the homepage and the rich snippet isn’t working, please send me a link to this page. I’ll be happy to check it for you :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for your response. I wanted to inform you that I personally worked late into the night yesterday, manually adding 13 feedback entries. However, this is not the most efficient method. I encourage you to check another website where you provide this service, and you will notice that there is a difference—it shows errors and fails to display any snippets.

If needed, I can delete the feedbacks entries from my end so you can verify that the error still exists.

Please let me know @Max

Could you please send me a link to the website where you see the error?

:green_circle: :exclamation: I’ve deleted what I added manually; please check now, and you’ll see that there is absolutely no feedback displayed!

:green_circle: It would be good for your widget to automatically add at least the first 10-15 feedback entries into the system. Believe me, Google shows these stars if the feedback is authentic, and the widget can confirm this fact through an API if they are genuine. Do you understand what I mean?

Thank you @Max

@George7 I am sorry, but I am not quite sure what feedback entries you’ve deleted and how that ties into the rich snippet display. Could you please elaborate on it?

Also, you’ve mentioned that you see the error on the website where we provide our service. Could you please send me a link to the website with this issue and share a screenshot of the error you see?

Anyway, the main thing is that Google generally doesn’t let rich snippets appear on homepages, and it’s not just about our apps. You can check out some discussions just to make sure of it (1,2).

Additionally, you can double-check your example. Here, the rich snippet is displayed for the Apple Pie Recipes page:

However, if you check the homepage of this website, the rich snippet won’t show up:

Please let me know if this clarifies the situation :slightly_smiling_face:

I understand now, @Max . Thanks a lot for explaining it. I looked over the documents you sent, and you’re right—the reviews are not included on the main page, which is unfortunate.
