Google Doesn't Recognize Reviews Rich Snippet

  • Issue Description:

Hello there, we used to have the review snippet validated by Google Rich Results Tester, but we lost it a couple of months ago.

I can see it on the source code where the widget is embedded, but Google doesn’t.

Here’s an example page with the widget: https://citizenshipper.com/blog/air-nanny
Here’s the Rich Results Test results for this page: https://search.google.com/test/rich-results/result?id=lD02VE3hysv-OeTSlKDiQA

How can I make it work again?

  • Link to the page with the widget in question:

I tested it with both Trustpilot and All-In-One reviews widgets, none is working.

Hi @Cagri and welcome to Community

Your widget is installed via iframe that causes issues with the markup. In this case, I can recommend you 2 workarounds:

  1. put the markup outside the iframe

  2. reinstall the widget without using iframe

Please check it and let me know if it helped :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey @Max, thanks for taking a look into this.

This is the code I got from Elfsight, where the script loads the relevant widget and markup.

<script src="https://apps.elfsight.com/p/platform.js" defer></script>
<div class="elfsight-app-c8bc2785-01dd-41b4-a659-8e7bd85e2997"></div>

How can I make it work?

One option is to add the markup manually, but I don’t want to do that since the number of reviews, average rating, and most recent reviews change all the time.

@Cagri I got you!

In this case, you should try the second option - reinstall the widget without using iframes.

If you experience difficulties with the reinstallation, just let us know and our devs will gladly help you :slightly_smiling_face:

@Max I tried directly adding the widget code into the blog post below, but it didn’t work either.

Can you please tell the dev team to help me with this?
