Remove dates for individual events

Before I can pay and subscribe I need three updates to happen on the event calendar widget…

  1. I want an event to be reoccurring but not list every event for the foreseeable future. It would only show the next one. As soon as the date passes the new date pops up in it’s place. . I don’t want dozens of the same event cluttering up the page. In my case they only need to see that that it is happening that week.

  2. I would like to be able to remove the date in the upper left corner on individual events. The ones that repeat every week don’t need that weeks date in the corner. Could say something like weekly, monthly, or tuesdays in its place if needed.

  3. I need some events to go directly to another URL when clicked and some to do the more info pop up. Currently you can only choose one or the other for the entire thing.

Hi there, @Relevant_Creative and welcome to the Community :waving_hand:

Great suggestions, thanks for sharing!

  1. Although there is no speciall setting for this, we can manually adjust the number of occurrences displayed. I’ve gone ahead and set it to 1 in your widget :slightly_smiling_face:

2-3. Unfortunately, these functionalities aren’t supported now and there are no custom solutions for them. I am really sorry! I’ve created a separate request for the 3rd idea on your behalf: Combine different actions on event click in 1 widget

If more users support these ideas, we might think them over down the line.

Hi, Max.

I’m also curious about manually adjusting the number of occurrences that are displayed at one time.
I don’t have any recurring events added for that reason.
I want to add our local theater events, which are typically in town for several weeks (Tuesday - Sunday, off Mondays)
What I don’t want is to have the event show 20+ times in the calendar at once. I do like the idea of having the next event in the series show up as soon as the previous one expires.(ie; after Tuesday’s event ends, it would display the event for Wednesday)
I hope I’m making sense?
