When creating a field and choosing percentage, the calculator still sees the input into that field as a number, not a percentage. For example, when I input 50%, the calculator uses that as 50 in my formulas instead of 0.5. All of my results are greatly inflated due to this mathematical error. Am I doing something incorrectly with the fields? Thanks for any help.

In the meantime, there’s a temporary workaround you can use. Let me explain using the example of the Accident Rate Pre-Training field.
You’ll need to create the following calculation:
Once that’s done, replace the Accident Rate Pre-Training field in all calculations where it’s used with the new one (Accident Rate Pre-Training 2):
You should follow the same steps for any other fields using the percentage format.

I’ve checked with the dev team, and they’ve confirmed that the behavior you’re seeing is correct. The Format setting affects how the value is displayed in the field, but it doesn’t impact the calculation itself.
I hope that clears things up!
So, to convert percentages into numbers, you can either keep using the previous solution or simply divide the value by 100 in the calculation
