It would be good it this was built into the Blog widget, and included integration functionality for a paywall. At the minimum is should work with Google Sites.

Do you mean you’d love for your website visitors to access your Blog posts after creating a paid subscription?

Yes that option would be useful.
Some sites allow visitors to read a limited number of free articles, then a Paywall or notice to “Create a free account, or log in” (NY Times) pops up when they want to read more.
One could build an entire site just around a blog.
