We are experiencing this issue … we are not seeing the original post or the additional photos

If I understood you correctly, you mean your comment on the repost.
If that’s the case, I have to tell you that the comments on the reposts are not displayed in our app. I am really sorry.
We understand that this feature is really important and we already have such a request in our Wishlist. You can keep an eye on it here - Display "thoughts" on reposts.
However, if I misunderstood you, please elaborate on your use case. I’ll be happy to look into this for you 
That is correct as well as the multiple photos from the original post.
Didn’t your original post say that this issue was fixed?
I have to say that if the post has multiple photos, the widget shows only the first photo in the post preview. However, in the post popup, photos are displayed in a slider. You can slide them through by clicking on the arrows:

Everything is fine? The original post is not showing, nor are the image and you cannot scroll thru them. We are in the same place as when we started. Nothing has been resolved.

As I previously mentioned, unfortunately, there is no option to display your comments on the reposts. I am genuinely sorry about it 
You can vote for this request in our Wishlist to keep up with the latest updates - Display "thoughts" on reposts.
As for the multiple posts, if I understand you correctly, you mean the first post:

I am not looking to display comments, I am looking to display the original post from the page with the share of the post. It is not showing all the images that are available. In the original post I replied to it said that this had been resolved (in August). Clearly it has not been. It should not have to be voted on, it is basic functionally for your product.

I totally share your point that this functionality is essential, but, unfortunately, only repost itself can be displayed in the feed without your original post (comment on the repost).
In our August post, we’ve announced the fix of the issue with the preview links. Previously, if there were links in the post, the link previews weren’t displayed. Now, link previews are displayed and you can witness this in your widget:
However, the case you are describing isn’t anyhow connected with our August post. Actually, if the LinkedIn post has multiple photos, only the first photo with the gallery icon is displayed in the widget:
However, once you click on this post, the popup will appear, and you’ll be able to slide all the photos (as shown on the video).
If it works different on your end, please share a screenshot or a screencast of what you see. I’ll gladly investigate the issue for you.
