Issues with Accessibility widget

This widget makes my website unresponsive - any ideas why?

Hi @user25084, great to see you in our community, welcome! :waving_hand:t2:

I’m so sorry to hear that our widget doesn’t work as expected. Could you please add a widget to a test page so that we can check things on our end?

I’d be interested to see the response as it is a great addition to any site but like user25084 it makes my site unresponsive.

Hi there, @Andy_Lamb :waving_hand:

If you still have the widget on your website, could you please send me a link to the page where it’s installed?

If you’ve already removed it, please add it to the test page and send us a link. I’ll be happy to look into this with the devs :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @Max I’ve just added it to one page and it works very well. https://www.walesoutdoors.co.uk/exploring-the-taff-valley I’ve reduced it to be only able to work on this page in the widget edit. I think the problem is adding it to a footer and having the widget set to work on all pages - maybe it could be too much work for it when loading?

Do I get it right that the issue occurs only when the widget is displayed on all pages?

Yes, at least on my site. I put it on the homepage for all pages and it crashed it. As a test I put it on one page and limited the widget to that page, adding the URL to the widget, and it works great on that one page.

I’ve been playing with it and I’ve turned on Cognitive Learning and now for me the page https://www.walesoutdoors.co.uk/exploring-the-taff-valley is stuck in that mode with no way I can see to get back to the accesibility menu - all other options work fine

Thank you!

I’ve tested the Cognitive Learning mode on my end, and it seems to be working fine:

If you’re still experiencing the issue, could you please send me a short video showing the problem?

To figure out what’s causing the responsiveness issues, we need to be able to reproduce the problem. I understand that having an unresponsive website is frustrating- especially since our developers will be able to check it only on Monday.

Could you please provide us access to your website’s backend? Here’s a guide on how to do that: How to provide access to your Duda website - Elfsight Help Center

This will allow our developers to quickly apply the widget to all pages and investigate the issue more effectively :slightly_smiling_face:

I use Bokun. I’ve sent an email to support@elfsight.com that contains a password reset which will enable you to login to the site and add the widget - you’ll need to make sure it’s set for all pages to be able to see how it crashes the site.

Hi there, @Andy_Lamb :waving_hand:

Unfortunately, I couldn’t reset the password because the link has expired:

Could you please update the link?

Hi there, @Andy_Lamb :waving_hand:

Thank you for waiting!

Our devs tried to install the widget to all pages and there were no issues on our end. Could you please describe the issue you’ve faced in more detail and specify your browser and OS versions?

I’ve just installed it on the homepage and for all pages as I had done before. It is now working well. Just a few days ago I tried several times and in several places and it was crashing my editor and was making the site slow to load. So for the time being it is great and I thank you for spending time looking into this. I also thank you for developing nthis - it nis a great addition to the functionality of my website.
