Hello @Max, On Squarespace, I paste it on the footer, but when I load another page, I see it only affects one page at a time, not the entire website. Any thoughts?
Hi there, @Fede_Abrahams
Could you please send me a link to the page, where your widget is installed?
I tried to use it, only worked one page at a time, and now it has left the h1 and p1 in Korean.
So I deleted it… I’m afraid it’ll mess up all my website copy
I totally understand your concerns and deeply apologize for any inconvenience!
The only way to find the reason for the issue is to check the widget on the website. Could you please either add it back or install it to the test page?
@Max done. Please try again.
I’ve tried to change languages and switch pages, and everything seems to be fine on my end. Could you please provide me with a video screencast of the issue?
When using korean it doesnt change back all text when switch to english.
Now I see it, thank you so much!
I’ve forwarded this issue to the devs and will let you know once I have their response
Thank you for waiting!
The thing is that you’re using the American English (en-us) on your website, where the footer has a Korean text by default:
In the Website Translator widget, you’ve selected the American English option. When you choose this language in the widget, it treats it as the default language for your website, so it doesn’t translate the Korean text in the footer additionally.
If you add the British English (en-gb) option to the widget, the Korean text will be translated because the widget recognizes the difference between the website’s language (en-us) and the language chosen in the widget (en-gb).
Please let me know if this explains things or if you have any questions left
