Thank you so much for adding the Search Function! We love the Store Locator and are happy to see the improvements over the last couple years. We do have some suggestions that would help our customers with a more user-friendly search experience:
Search Functionality
Improved city search: Allow search by city without requiring the state to be specified.
Enhanced partial name search: Enable finding stores by searching for part of the store name (e.g., “lemon” should return “Lemon & Lavender”).
Better handling of common names: Improve search results for common terms (e.g., “lavender”) to avoid overwhelming results or incorrect matches.
Additional Considerations
Consider implementing fuzzy search: This would allow for misspelled or partially correct search terms to still return relevant results.
Explore alternative search options: Offer additional search criteria like store type, product availability, or services offered.
Thank you for considering these additions as you continue to evolve this wonderful app.
I really like each of your suggestions and agree that they would enhance the search functionality. We’ll try to consider your ideas in the future, and I’ll make sure to update you here in case of any news
Great news that this feature is being worked on. I was shocked when I tried to search for a word in a location name, about, a badge, and it says no results! lol because now I don’t even know what the search even does.
You’re right, the search option could use some improvements, and I hope we’ll be able to finish the works during the quarter (it’s not a strict deadline, but we’re striving to meet it).
Right now, you can search by a store’s full name, ZIP, or address
Hello, we also love working with the Store Locator and I am looking forward to the new category feature.
What we urgently need, and what I would like to see now that you are working on the search function, is a full-text search for the descriptions as well.
This would mean that the description text of the store would also be taken into account.
If so, could you please describe your specific case and elaborate on why users would need to search the location using the description info? This info would help us understand your idea better
