Form Builder - Google Sheets Integration not working "400 Service Unavailable" error

Google Sheets integration appears to have stopped functioning correctly in Form Builder?

I had previously connected a form to Google Sheets and it was originally working as expected.
That Google Sheets integration suddenly stopped working (when exactly is not known but it was first noticed by us around 5 days ago).

The Google account WAS connected for over 12 months and the Google Sheet WOULD open from the link in the Elfsight Form Builder app - but no NEW entries were being added. Old entries remained in the open Sheet - but no new entries were being added.

I tried to fix the issue by disconnecting the Google account and starting again with a fresh Google Sheets integration.

Now when I try to connect to the Google account via the “Connect to Google Sheets” link in the Elfsight app, the popup Google Auth opens but with this error message:

{“error”:{“code”:400,“message”:“Service is unavailable now”}}

This is the Google URL popup:

https://storage.elfsight.com/auth/google/?scopes=spreadsheets&user_id=b3ae71d0-xxxxx-etc....etc…

It would appear the Elfsight server is unable to connect to Google?

This error first appeared to us about 5 days ago. I have tried continuously until now, thinking it may have been a short term outage, however it is still down (same error) as of writing this thread.

I have tried multiple browsers, clearing cookies, different browsers, etc. It would appear to be an error at your end? I have submitted a support ticket (#567035) but am still waiting on a reply.

Any assistance greatly appreciated please. Thanks.

Hi there, @Perry1 :wave:

I am terribly sorry about this issue!

I see that you have 6 Form Builder widgets. Could you please specify the name of the widget, where this issue occurs?

Thanks for your assistance Max.

The form is “Quoll HQ Visitor Registration”

OK, did a bit more testing Max and I see that on other NEW and existing forms I CAN open the Google Auth popup and it does appear to be working correctly.

The only one it appears to NOT be working on is “Quoll HQ Visitor Registration” form - which WAS previously connected to Google, was then disconnected and now cannot reconnect.

It would appear that the problem exists when (1) Google has been connected (2) is disconnected from the form and (3) then an attempt is made to reconnect.

Hope that helps resolve the issue.

I’ve passed it on to the devs and will update you once I have their response :slightly_smiling_face:

The issue should be fixed now. Could you please try to reconnect the widget once again and let me know if it helped?

Hello, I am having the same issue. The Google sheet integration stopped working, so I removed the integration and now cannot connect to a new sheet. The same error message {“error”:{“code”:400,“message”:“Service is unavailable now”}}
The form I am trying to connect is Edgy Veg Awards

Hi there, @Nikki_Barker :wave:

Apologies for this inconvenience!

The issue is fixed. Please try to connect your widget to Google Sheets and let me know how it worked :slightly_smiling_face:

Just for information - if anybody else experiences this error mentioned above:

Once Elfsight have reset the connection to Google Auth and you can reconnect to Google Sheets, you just may find that any dropdown field data from your forms will not transfer to either your Google Sheet or the generated email response. You may receive blank cells on the Sheet and “-” on the email response.

The fix (that worked for me at least) is to replicate any dropdowns in your original form and then delete those old dropdowns that weren’t working. Hope that may help.

Hi there - am having the same issue on my TCK Registration Form. The original spreadsheet was no longer being populated. So I tried to remove the integration and add a new Spreadsheet. Now I am getting the same error as those above.

I’m getting the same error after deleting an instegration and trying to create it again.

A post was split to a new topic: Fields don’t populate to the Google Sheets

Hello guys,

Unfortunately, due to a high number of requests, this topic was missed among others. I am so sorry for the delayed response.

@user2580, I’ve passed this issue on to the devs and will update you once it’s fixed.

@Expenses Could you please specify the ID of the widget, where this issue occurs?
