Hello! I am trying to get the event calendar list view to scroll past the initial 10 - so that users can view upcoming events beyond the 10 that are displayed. Is this possible? Also, I would like to swap the name “event” for “activity” - so that instead of saying “past events” we can have “past activities” - possible?

Yep, both option are possible.
You can change the heading “Past Events” in the Edit Texts section on the Settings tab:
On the Layout tab, you can increase the number of events displayed in the widget. 10 events will be displayed right away and the other will appear when clicking on the Load More button:
