Carousel Layout

Is it possible to scroll to the right or left to see additional upcoming events? I want to show a view similar to the grid view, but with just 1 row of events.

Folks, our former Wishlist portal, where our users shared their requests and suggestions, was transferred to this forum. You’re most welcome to vote, add new ideas, and leave your comments here — we surely will consider them all! :star_struck:

A simple pagination feature would be helpful in Grid view.
Number of events to display : X
Checkbox : Add pagination for additional events

@Francis_Aubert thank you for your comment, and welcome to the community!

Do you mean that you’d love to display events in Grid view, but use pagination instead of arrows to scroll through all the events?

Currently, website visitors can only see the number of events we’ve chosen to display at one time on a website. It would be very helpful if they could scroll forward (and backward) to see events in the future (and/or the past).

@TappedIn We already have a similar idea in the Wishlist!

I’ve moved your comment to the dedicated thread where we’ll post all the updates :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you.

Hello,

I have a calendar that I have to to update into two calendars because one of them is for a full calendar page (all events), and one is for the homepage (only shows 4, so the homepage doesn’t get crazy long).

I use the card format, and was wondering if there is a way to implement the carousel function with this, so that the 4 cards have an arrow to keep going and showing more events. Folks want their own calendars on their team pages, but I use the 4 cards because their pages would get too scrolly otherwise, and the carousel format only shows one event at a time

Full Calendar: 6c6f22e1-033b-47cd-8ea3-0906acf8c9e4
4 Card Format: c91189de-1315-41a0-a2b6-c03fa3cf7277

This would make things a lot easier so we could display all events without a neverending scroll.

Thanks!

Hi there @Matthew7

Currently, there is no way to do this, but we already have a request for the Carousel layout on the Wishlist.

I’ve added your comment to the thread, where we’ll keep you updated :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the update.

So realistically our only 2 option are :

  1. Select a small number of events so the page doesn’t become too overwhelming (we have 100+ events), but folks can’t see most of the events in a category filter OR
  2. Have a page that displays events that go on and on and on?

Yes, you are right! And one more option is to use a Slider layout for this, but it allows showing only 1 event at once.

A post was split to a new topic: Customization of Slider Layout in Event Calendar

I am in the same boat and would like to be in the thread where tells you if this feature is updated. I’d like to be able to show 4 events but have the option to scroll forward or backward for future events rather than having them continue underneath one another.

Thanks a lot for sharing, @Sabrina_Da_SIlva! I also love the idea if a Carousel layout, let’s hope our devs will be able to consider it in the future. We’ll keep you posted in case of any news

Thank you for your help, and welcome to the community!
