Email Sender Settings - error configuring on google workspace

  • Issue description: I keep getting a connection failure when configuring the email sender settings. I am sure it is user error here but i cannot figure out how to set this up on google correctly. I am reading that i need to configure email routing on my google workspace for my company. Anyone set this up on a business google workspace?

Could you please open the Dev Console, click Save and Test Connection and then take a screenshot of your Dev Console?

Thanks for sharing this screenshot! However, to get a more detailed info about the info you receive, we need a screenshot of the Dev Console.

To make this screenhsot, right-click the widgeteditor page and press Inspect :

The console will be open on the Elements tab by default but you need to switch to the Console tab:


Then click on the Save and Test connection button and take a screenshot of what you see in the Console tab:

Could you please click on the hightlighted error (screenshot 1) and then take a screenshot of the Response section on the Network tab (screenshot 2):

It says the response says the credentials are bad - but i have confirmed I am using the correct credentials. From what i have been reading - google does not like widgets connecting this way (via smtp) but not sure if others have had the same issue. This is a business google workspace (bestptnc.com)

To connect Gmail SMTP, you’ll need a 16-digit password. For this, open this link and create the password for the Gmail app.
