Edit names of venues imported from Google Calendar

• Issue description:
  I have linked Google calendar with Event calendar widget.
  “Event Venue” filter points to Event location in the Google Calendar entry. The location string is quite long and that messes up the list.

What I would like is - I want to group events country wise. So “Event Venue” must be just a country name. And when someone clicks on the Event link - Pop-up should show Google map with exact/real venue location. I guess, we can do that manipulation with Css/Js.

Please let me know if the issue can be addressed.

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to edit the name of venues for events imported from the Google Calendar. However, this idea sounds interesting and I’ve moved it to the Wishlist.

Would it be possible to write JS to manipulate Google map location by picking location link from the event description text?

Or is it possible to disable google map in content popup?

I guess, that option is available for Manually added Events.
I have imported events from Google integration.
