Display only part of description in the Event Card

Our devs have checked things and, unfortunately, there is no way to implement such a customization at the moment. I am so sorry!

I agree that this option would be helpful, especially for events with long descriptions. I’ve moved your idea to the Wishlist and we’ll try to consider this opportunity in the future.

Some of our events require a long description, which doesn’t look good in the main Calendar view when there are lots of events to display. I’d like the full description to show only once we click an event to open the popup. I’d like the settings to allow us to choose how many words should be displayed in the excerpt section. It’s odd because when we view an event in the popup, which offers a much bigger view, there we don’t see the full description; we see an excerpt and must click “Show more” to see the full description. It should be the other way around. We want the excerpt and “Show more” in the initial view and the full text in the popup.

In the Grid layout, it’d be great if we could display a short description of the events,

without choosing the pop-up for viewing event details. Currently, we are using the button caption

to add a few words describing the event to entice people to click on the event button link.

See below as an example. The pop-up option is great for more info but requires an additional click before hitting that booking button.

When the Description field is enabled in “Event Elements To Display,” I would like to show only the first two lines of the description, followed by a ‘Read More’ button.
