Is it possible to display only part of the description, or set a maximum limit of characters showing in the layout?

You’d like to display only the part of the description with the opportunity to open the full description by clicking on Show More button (like in the event popup). Am I right?

I agree that this option would be helpful, especially for events with long descriptions. I’ve moved your idea to the Wishlist and we’ll try to consider this opportunity in the future.

Some of our events require a long description, which doesn’t look good in the main Calendar view when there are lots of events to display. I’d like the full description to show only once we click an event to open the popup. I’d like the settings to allow us to choose how many words should be displayed in the excerpt section. It’s odd because when we view an event in the popup, which offers a much bigger view, there we don’t see the full description; we see an excerpt and must click “Show more” to see the full description. It should be the other way around. We want the excerpt and “Show more” in the initial view and the full text in the popup.
