The buttons in the booking/tickets templates are used to redirect users to the external booking pages, but an option to register for an event right in the widget, unfortunately, isn’t supported now.
This idea is already on the Wishlist and you can upvote it here - Register right in the widget.
If this request gets more votes, we’ll try to consider it in the future updates
