I would like to request a feature enhancement for the review system on our platform.
Specifically, for users who leave a 5-star rating without a text review, it would be beneficial if an automatic text response could be displayed. For example, the response could read: “Vittorio Manfredi gives Natural History Museum 5 stars rating”
This functionality would ensure that all feedback, including ratings without comments, is visibly acknowledged and contributes to our overall feedback representation. I will attach a screenshot to ensure my request is understood clearly.
Thank you for considering this enhancement to improve our customer feedback visibility.
Other users may not be aware that this feature could exist. Trust me, if it were included in the system and we had the option to use it, everyone would definitely utilize it, including myself. Currently, the 5-star feedbacks are not visible at all on our site where we implement your widget. Adding this feature would greatly enhance the functionality and user experience.
Good point, George! But since we already have a roadmap for the features we’re planning to implement next, it’s not that easy to squeeze new ideas into it, no matter how good they are. We have to consider both the popularity of the ideas and their technical difficulty.
However, if an idea is not too difficult to develop and holds great potential, we might be able to prioritize it sooner. I can’t make any promises, but now you understand how we select requests for development
I’m not sure what you are working on right now, but I believe these issues should be prioritized:
Display feedback at most every 24 hours, not every 4-5 days as is currently the case.
Automatically display a proper text for users who leave only a 5-star rating, ensuring that the feedback looks visually appealing and complete. For example, it should display as “Alan rated the location 5 stars.” These should be top priorities.
Considering we have over 90 widgets in our catalog, it’s not easy to roll out new features instantly. We’re absolutely happy to receive your feedback and ideas for our widgets, but we can’t implement them right away.
Let’s hope other customers will also see the potential in these ideas, or perhaps our devs will find a way to prioritize them
We have received a lot of 5-star feedback, but currently, the filter only allows us to select all feedback with or without text.
We would like to request the addition of a checkbox option that displays automatically generated text, such as “David left a 5-star review.”
The issue we are facing is that mixing long-text reviews with no-text reviews does not look visually appealing. From a UI/UX design perspective, it creates an inconsistent appearance when both types of feedback are displayed together.
@Safety your thoughts make perfect sense, and we share your envision here.
While we’d love to roll out new features faster, we need to prioritize due to the volume of requests and suggestions we receive. Having this connection with you, our customers, does help us prioritize better, but I’m afraid I can’t promise anything concrete for this particular request just yet.
That said, I know Google Reviews is one of our top-priority apps, and I’ll be happy to share updates here as soon as I have new information.
Thank you for your understanding and for your help!
Friends, I’m happy to share some great news here: we’ve started working on this request! This feature is currently in the Design stage, and we’ll keep you updated on further progress
That sounds great! However, to be honest, it feels like you’re focusing on updates that aren’t really a priority right now. What matters most to us are features that are truly beneficial and necessary. For instance, “Update Displayed Reviews Every 24 Hours (Reduce Cache)” is the most anticipated and desired update for us.
We absolutely remember that request, and we’re actively working on implementing different cache times depending on the plan as a first step in that direction. We’re truly sorry that, once again, we weren’t able to meet the deadlines, but please know we’re doing everything we can. I’ll keep you updated on the progress in that thread.
Unfortunately, there are sometimes obstacles in development that are difficult to overcome, which can lead to delays as we seek the best solutions. That said, just because a feature isn’t in progress yet, it doesn’t mean we’re neglecting your requests. Most likely, there are technical challenges or prioritization factors at play.
I hope we’ll introduce different cache times functionality soon, we’ll be happy to update you in that thread
Hello, I noticed you’re working on this ticket, and I wanted to kindly suggest that you ask the IT team to write the message in a way similar to: “John Madison (name found on Google) just left 5 Stars for this Service”
It’s important NOT to make it lengthy, like “John Madison left 5 stars (Location Name)”, because the location name varies from company to company. For instance, in our case, the name is quite long, which wouldn’t look aesthetically pleasing.
Perfect for everyone, including companies, would be for this message to not be static. I understand that static messages are easier to implement, but it would be much better if the message were flexible, allowing each company to customize it according to how they want to present their 5-star feedback. Thank you!
Hi @George7, thanks for your comment and for the details!
Just to clarify, do you mean you’d like to customize the text, like changing “John Madison (name found on Google) just left 5 stars for this Service”? Or are you asking for several different variants that would be used randomly in the widget to avoid repetition?
I think you are barking at the wrong tree. Why you go straight to Google and push it to them why they leave comments out. Let’s push it a notch, why don’t you go straight to client and find out why they do not leave a comment with a nice reply to their comments example:
Thank you for the recent 5-star rating! Your support is like a high-five to us! We’re always working on making our center even better. If you have any suggestions or ideas, don’t hesitate to share. We’re all ears! We hope to see you again soon, Allyn! The center wouldn’t be the same without awesome community members like you.
