Audio Player freezing

I am using the Audio Player to provide MP3 play lists for choir members to learn their parts. I’m publishing in JimDo, which provides a generic widget facility. As the number of tracks in a playlist increases (between 17 and 22) the response after opening the list is v slow, and often freezes, requiring a reload. The average file is about 3Mb, maximum about 6Mb.

Hi Max, The widget is installed in a password protected area of my choir’s website. The main issue is access to photos, archive materials and other information that is not generally available. If you can tell me what you might be looking for, I can certainly try to give more information on the site/widget behaviour.

I see that you have several Audio Player widgets. Could you please specify the name of the widget, where this issue occurs?

I see that the Duration setting is enabled in the Playlist.

The thing is, if you enable Duration, the widget needs to preload all tracks simultaneously to display the time. Considering the number of added tracks, loading them all together may disrupt the music.

Please try to disable this setting in the Playlist section on the Player tab and let me know if it improved the situation:
