Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts with us!
I need to say that the Product markup was intentionally used in the widget because it’s the only one that can appear in the Google snippet in search results.
However, we still have a request for this feature on the Wishlist and if anything changes on the Google’s side, we might look into this in the future
