Would be great to have a hide option inside the content area of the widget (like you have in the Event Widget) so we have the ability to make notifications interchangeable without the need to recreate each time there is a need to feature particular notifications.

If I understood you correctly, you mean our new dynamic layouts option. Am I right?
If it is, do I understand correctly that you want different notifications to be changing within one widget and on the same page?
Would like to be able to hide a notification so that it does not appear within the notification interval. I am using them as a called action button, and sometimes it would be nice to be able to change them or hide certain ones instead of having to create a new widget. If that makes sense?
