YouTube Gallery widget not displaying playlist videos

Howdy folks,

Have a peculiar issue: I duplicated an existing YouTube Gallery widget (which, BTW, displays absolutely fine through both the Elfsight dashboard and on my website) with the intention of simply swapping out the widget name and playlist URL. While I modified the former without any problem, inserting the new playlist URL (lifted directly from my YouTube channel) within Source Groups resulted in the following error message:

There are no videos by this request:“”.

I haven’t done anything differently than what I did before in setting up 8 other YouTube Gallery widgets (and all work perfectly). Thinking it must be something to do with YouTube, I can confirm that both the playlist and constituent videos have visibility set to public; also that embedding is set to be allowed. I even tried individually adding the 5 videos within the playlist but that didn’t work either.

Naturally, with the widget not showing any videos, I haven’t yet embedded it on my website(!).

Any bright idea as to why this is happening?

The issue seems to be related with the API Key used in your widget, since the videos show up if I remove the API Key. However, I see the same key is used in other iwdgets and they seem to be working fine.

Please let me check it with the devs. I’ll report back as soon as I have any news :slightly_smiling_face:

I had a sneaky feeling it was related to the API key, but everything checked out in Google Cloud and, indeed, the same key’s used in the other widgets which work fine.

All that said, I’ve just refreshed the widget in the Elfsight dashboard and the 5 videos in the playlist have now reappeared (not so magically as I’m sure, Max, that’s thanks to your efforts).

So, I’m back in audio-visual business and most grateful for the tech assist :folded_hands:
