I don’t know if this was intentional, but the Photo Gallery widget displays differently from my other 8 widgets. All others show as a thumbnail of the actual widget as created and customized. The Photo Gallery (using the Product Photographer template) just shows the default image from the Catalog.

Hmm, I’ve checked my test Photo Gallery widget and the thubmnail shows a screenshot of my widget (not a default template).
However, I see the issue with your widget and passed it on to the devs. I’ll keep you updated

Yep, there is in issue with the thumbnail logic in the Carousel layout. We’ve changed the template thumbnail with your widget thumbnail displayed in the Grid layout.
I’ll update you as soon as the issue with Carousel is fixed
