I would like to be able to insert the users IP adress in the email generated from the form builder/contact form
Folks, our former Wishlist portal, where our users shared their requests and suggestions, was transferred to this forum. You’re most welcome to vote, add new ideas, and leave your comments here — we surely will consider them all!

Original comment from Luca Talento transferred from the previous Wishlist portal:
This is so necessary. We need to capture the IP Address to verify if the form submission is real, spam, fraud, etc.
@user4160 Thanks for upvoting the idea and welcome aboard
Is there a way to trace originating IP addresses for survey results? Or to change the survey so we can track IP addresses to confirm results are from unique users
Hi @Jennifer_Paupore welcome to community
Here’s a workaround that allows you to pass the client IP in the form. Give it a try.
GDPR compliance must be observed and data economy must be applied.

There is also a suggestion that you can vote for.
Users IP adress in the email
Hi there, @Jennifer_Paupore
Yes, we already have such a request on the Wishlist, and I’ve moved your comment there too
You can also try the workaround by Sina. However, your clients must be informed that their IP addresses will be collected and * your clients that their IP addresses will be collected. All responsibility for applying this customization lies with you.
