I would like to be able to upload a cover image to my instagram widget that I could customize to make more clickable for website users.

Do I get it right, that you’d like to upload a custom image to the widget’s header? And what customization options would you like to have for this cover image?
Thanks for the reply, Max. I have created a simple mockup of what I mean by my suggestion. I would love to use Option 3 for my website.
This might need to be another suggestion: After clicking the play button, the Instagram popup would still work as an option, but, I would also like to see the instagram video just play in the page as it stands in the screenshot.

One more question to clear things up: Do you want the videos to be played with the sound in this small container after clicking the Play button? Or would you prefer these thumbnails to be autoplayed on hover without sound?
I personally would prefer click with sound.
