Hi there, I have a question; I just observed that my Twitter feed isn’t updating new tweets; is this the feature or my fault?
Hi there and welcome aboard @user32
The new posts don’t appear right away on your website’s feed because our widget uses cache to load faster and reduce server load.
On the free Lite plan, it requests Twitter once every 30 days, stores posts in the cache, and shows them from there. When the cache expires, the widget gets new posts from Twitter.
I hope this explains things.
If it’s been over 30 days and the new posts still don’t show, please give us the direct link to the problem page. I’ll gladly check it for you
Also, just a heads up - you can reduce the cache time to 120 hours by upgrading to a paid plan.
Oh! Thanks a million for explaining. I didn’t know the feed updates were plan-dependent. Let’s see how it goes.
You are very welcome
A post was merged into an existing topic: Elfsight X feed widget is only showing content from two weeks ago. Why?
Hi there, so 30 days have passed and it shows that I have “No tweets”. What’s going on? It is not updating.
Hi there @user32
I am terribly sorry for all the inconvenience!
I’ve cleared the authentication in your widget. Could you please try to reconnect your widget tomorrow (not today, as the Twitter API Key should be updated tomorrow) and let me know if it helped?
Hi there, thanks. It’s working; there is an update. I will check back in 30 days.
@user32 Awesome, you are always welcome
