I am adding the google maps widget to my wix wesbite. I would like to know the following:

For each location i add, can one location be added under multiple categories. At the moment i can only see that i can only allocate one category to a location.

At the moment i am just on the free version of elfsight.

Currently, unfortunately, it’s impossible to assign multiple categories to one location. However, we have this idea on the Wishlist, and I’ve merged your comment with it.

Thanks fo ryour response. I want to use the Google Maps widget for my tradesman search directory, but each of my tradesmen have upto 22 skills (categories in this case). Does this mean that ‘if for example’ a tradesman has 5 skills, i would have to set him up 5 times (i.e. 5 locations), so a user could find him under each skill?

Yeah, I understand that this is not really convenient, but I am afraid this is the only workaround for now :pensive:

I’d like the locations on the map to be able to be organized into at least 3 categories each. For example, a full service restaurant can be in the categories ‘restaurants’ and also ‘bars’ and also ‘food’. A grocery store should be in ‘food’ and ‘retail’. A home decor store could be ‘retail’ but also ‘gift shop’. A flower shop can be ‘home/garden’ and also ‘gift shop’. There are too many locations that fit several categories for them to be pigeonholed into just one.

This is something that we need as well. Google provide FOC as part of their map offering so feels limiting in Elfsight to have missed this out.
