Text as a Result of Calculation

Hello,
Is this possible to get a result of calculation as a text, not as a numeric (number, currency or percentage)?

Thanks

Greetings and welcome to the Elfsight family, @Dmytro_Topala

Thanks for sharing your suggestion!

Currently, there is no way to do this, I am really sorry! If this request is going to gain ground, we’ll try to consider this option in the future :slightly_smiling_face:

This would be awesome. If it is impossible, another workaround is to calculate the result, but not show it, use the calculation as a condition to return a text heading - or image.

Result screen needs Rich Text Field and conditional visibility.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for upvoting the idea, @Agirsaglam!

As for the workaround suggested, could you please send me a link to the page, where your widget is installed?

I’ll gladly check if it’s feasible :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you very much,

The idea is, right now the app does not support conditional visibility, if the condition is a calculation. We have conditional visibility on input fields.

Lets give an example. We take X and Y value, return a number, but this number also points to a text result.

Lets say my height is 180 cm, my weight is 80 kg, my BMI is 25 but this 25 is not valuable for users. Being “healthy” or “overweight” is.

Since we cannot result “healthy” as a calculation, we can create a condition and a rich text field.

The example is very simple. But application is wide.

Ah, got it, thanks for clarification!

While there is no option to do this now, this idea sounds interesting and we’ll try to think it over in the future :slightly_smiling_face:

Provide result field in TEXT format instead of number, currency, percentage - How to do that? details to support your idea as possible. Thank you!

That would be so nice - for example for features depending on the chosen option or to say: that’s included for free!

Hi there, @Philippe_Ruttens

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to do this now, but we already have a request for this feature. I’ve moved your comment to the thread, where we’ll keep you updated :slightly_smiling_face:
