I’d love to request a new widget (or a new layout for the existing Google Reviews widget): a Sticky Trust Bar that stays fixed at the bottom of the page while users scroll.
Reference example: I’m attaching a screenshot of how ProvenExpert implements this on their clients’ websites. It’s a slim horizontal bar pinned to the bottom of the viewport, spanning the full width of the screen, showing: provider name → number of reviews → star rating → text label (“SEHR GUT” / “EXCELLENT”) → recommendation % → snippet of a recent review → “More info” link.
What I’d like for the Google Reviews version:
-
Fixed/sticky position at the bottom of the page — always visible while scrolling, on both desktop and mobile.
-
Full width (100% of the viewport) — the bar should stretch edge to edge across the entire screen, not be a small floating pill or a corner widget. Same look on desktop and mobile (responsive, but always full-width).
-
Branding = “Google Reviews” instead of a third-party provider name. Show the official Google “G” icon + the text “Google Reviews” (or the localized equivalent).
-
Full localization of all text labels, especially the word “reviews” — so I can display “Bewertungen” (DE), “Avis” (FR), “Reseñas” (ES), “Отзывы” (RU), “Recensioni” (IT), etc. depending on my site’s language. Same for the verbal rating labels (“Excellent / Very Good / Sehr Gut”) and the “X% recommendations” line.
-
Data shown on the bar:
-
Average star rating (numeric + visual stars)
-
Total number of reviews
-
Verbal rating (“Excellent”, “Very Good”, etc.)
-
% of positive recommendations
-
Optional: rotating snippet from a recent 5-star review with a “More info” link
-
-
NO Elfsight logo or “Powered by Elfsight” branding on the visible bar. The bar should look fully native to the site and trustworthy as a Google-branded element.
-
Customization options:
-
Show/hide on mobile
-
Background color, text color, font, height
-
Click action: open the full Google Reviews widget in a modal, or link to the Google Business profile
-
Optional top border / shadow to separate it from page content
