Squarespace 7.0 widget overlays page content as soon as navigation bar is clicked

Using Squarespace 7.0, Bedford template. Widget overlays page content at the top of the page, as soon as navigation link is clicked. Tried adjusting widget, nothing helps.

I can’t link to the page because my client’s site is wrecked if I have the widget installed.

I am really sorry for all the inconvenience caused by the issue :pensive:

To identify the reason for the issue, we need the widget to be installed on the webpage. Unfortunately, there is no other way to investigate it

Could you please install the widget to the test page and send me a direct link?

I was able to solve this by using an “embed” block rather than the “code” block that I understand the elfsight instructions to use. Perhaps the instructions are for Squarespace 7.1 and not 7.0?

I was able to add the widget to the website prefooter, just not to “all pages.”

I’m also making “service product” blocks on some product pages where it would be a long scroll to the footer. I added code to keep “add to cart” from showing on those. This is my workaround for the Bedford product pages not having any place for extra text – just products.

Perhaps this will help someone else.
