Social Widgets: Accessibility issues fixed

We’ve implemented some accessibility improvements to our Social Widgets :hammer_and_wrench:

  • The number of likes or comments is now included in the aria-label.

  • Added aria-haspopup and aria-expanded attributes to Share and Open Post buttons.

  • Images inside labeled links now have an empty alt attribute to prevent duplicate screen reader announcements.

  • Carousel arrows are now keyboard-accessible, and hidden slides use inert to keep them out of the Tab order.

  • Added aria-expanded for inline Read more expansion, aria-haspopup / aria-expanded for popups, and role="link" with an accessible label when opening a link. Truncated text is hidden from screen readers until expanded.

  • In Instagram Feed, the post hover overlay now also appears when the post receives keyboard focus.
