Hi there, @Patrick_Tabountchiko :waving_hand:

I’ve tested your widget and the bot replied within 10 seconds. Also, I’ve checked your conversations and see that the bot replied quite fast to your questions:

For example:

If the issue still persists on your end, please share a video screencast with the long responses. I’ll be happy to check it for you :slightly_smiling_face:

nice to give me some proof, I think my pc is slow.
Thx again, nice day to you

No problem!

If anything else comes up, we’re always here to help

Max, our training documents are in plain text (*.txt) format and currently contain around 200 different questions and answers in total.

When we test the AI chatbot during US business hours using our Elfsight Train Your Assistant page, response times are typically between 12 and 15 seconds.

Is that pretty normal?

For comparison, we tested a competitor’s chatbot that relies mainly on crawled website data. It usually responded in about 5 seconds — but the answers were so inaccurate that, after two weeks of trying to train it, we gave up and moved on.

Hi there, @Paul_D :waving_hand:

Yes, this is a normal result - it’s actually quite close to the optimal response time (5-10 seconds). The speed depends entirely on our provider (OpenAI), so we don’t have any control over it.

That said, one thing that might help slightly is shortening your instruction to only the most essential details (if possible). This could reduce the response time a bit :slightly_smiling_face:
