UPDATE:
It did work. I was just not seeing the shadow that well (must be my grand old-age). But when I looked again I increased the values to be able to better see it, and there it was. All worked. I could see I had simply overlooked a very subtle shadow appearing when I first added the code. I now added a manually chosen vertical and horizontal margin, which clearly overrides the slider in the basic of the widget. So all good!
Thanks once more for the custom codes you provided. I could now easily work it out, adding a basic margin instruction to your box-shadow code.
Thanks,
Ingrid
PS. Sorry to have bothered you just because I wan’t looking closely enough.
Hi @Max,
I noticed you already provided a custom code to give the button a shadow. I’m looking to give my back-to-top button extra vertical offset so it doesn’t overlap the cookie banner, which isn’t possible in the basic settings of this widget. It is possible in many other Elfsight widgets, but this one has one slider that links the vertical and horizontal offset.
I entered the code you provided to someone in January for the box shadow in the CSS panel of the widget, hoping that would give me a starting point by changing the shadow instruction into an instruction for vertical offset. But there must be something wrong because I don’t see a shadow appearing when I add that code to start with. Can you check why it’s not working?
And maybe confirm whether I can use the selector of that code to change the instruction for box shadow into a vertical offset instruction?
Thanks in advance,
Ingrid
