I had a play around with google calender today. the problem with this it seems very limited with elf.
so none of the filters will work, host, tags, buttons etc. its becomes a super basic calender.

Had a play with this today, how do all the tags, host, colours etc work with this? or can you only have 6 details?

Since the elements like tags, hosts, buttons are not available in the Google Calendar, there is no way to pull them through the integration.

However, I totally get your point and agree that it would be much better to display all event elements when importing events from Google Calendar.

We already have requests for these elements on the Wishlist and you can upvote them here :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, I would take Google Sheets any day over messing with the Google Calendar.

But couldn’t there be some conventions for the text in the description field (or headline), which lead do some extra tags within the elfsight calendar:

  1. Extracting #Hashtags from the description field would feed the internal tags.
    Convention: max. 3 per appointment, always placed at the end of the text.

  2. A defined syntax in the text for the other default tags.
    [Host]: …
    [EventType]:

@Michael_Hess I am glad to say that we’re currently working on adding the tag support for the Google Calendar integration.
