Anyone have any CSS or JS injections I can use for this option?
I’m glad to assist with that! Could you please share a bit more about the customization you’d like to achieve? A screenshot showing what needs to be changed would be nice ![]()
Just a guess – maybe you want to change the text of the link, but make it still lead to the URL you specified?
Hi Irene,
Yes you are correct. I’d like to use a Placeholder text and still have a clickable link. For instance one of my cards has a SoundCloud link. The full link just looks a little much. I’d like to be able to clean it up.
Best,
Kyle
Thanks for the info, Kyle!
Sure, I totally get it – I’ll ask the dev team for the solution for you. Please bear with me for a while ![]()
Thank you!
Best,
Kyle
Hey Kyle,
Getting back with a custom solution for you ![]()
This CSS code will allow you to display custom text instead of the full URL:
.es-review-info-website-url[href*="your-link-part"] {
font-size: 0;
letter-spacing: normal;
}
.es-review-info-website-url[href*="your-link-part"]:after {
content: 'Custom Text';
font-size: 12px;
}
Here’s how it works:
-
The
href*="your-link-part"part targets any link that contains a specific portion of the URL (e.g., “soundcloud” or another recognizable part of the link).
Just edit the text in brackets to resemble a part of the link that needs to be cleaned up. -
The
content: 'Custom Text';element allows you to specify custom text (e.g., “Soundcloud”) instead of the full URL.
Replace the Custom Text placeholder with the text that needs to be shown instead of a link.
Add this solution to the Custom CSS section of your widget – after you do so, the link will remain clickable, but you’ll be able to replace the long URL with more user-friendly text.
Let me know if you like the solution and if you need any further assistance with this ![]()
Thank you! I will check this in the AM!
