Multi-Layer Subcategories Option

Introduce a feature in the Portfolio widget that allows for multiple layers of subcategories to enhance filtering options.

Use Case:
For example, if presenting clothing items:

First Layer (Categories): Shirts, Pants, Jackets
Second Layer (Subcategories): for Pants - short, long
Third Layer (further Subcategories): for Long Pants - blue, black, etc.

This will allow users to navigate through:

Type of Clothing: Pants
Length: Long
Color: Blue

Additional Filtering:

Enable an option to skip layers, allowing users to filter by broader categories, for instance:

Pants → All → Blue (combining both short and long pants).

I would like to have subcategories in category. For example, I am web designer, logo designer
so

1)IT: Landing website, Mobile application, Application web, UI/UX
2) Design: Logo, Branding, Stickers, Posters
3) Digital marketing: SEO, Social Media branding

So (IT,Design, Digital marketing) are category
and (Landing website, Mobile application, Application web, UI/UX) are subcategory for IT design

Share your use case and provide as many details to support your idea as possible. Thank you! :blush:Is it possible to have Child Categories as this way we can filter a Range (Parent) and Color (Child) This is useful ,for large portfolios.

Hi there, @Staff_Northlake

At the moment, subcategories are not supported in our app. We already have a request for this feature, and I’ve merged your comment with it :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you so much for the feedback!
