Mass upload events through a spreadsheet

I need to upload around 115 “events” to my Event Calendar widget. It includes pasting event title, creating host, changing colors, uploading YouTube link, etc etc etc.

It would be fantastic if I could just upload a CSV/XLS file with all the information.

It would be great to be able to import events via csv. This would save an immense amount of time and effort!

@user3253 agree, it would be a great addition to the Event Calendar!

I’m afraid I cannot promise fast development, but we’ll really to consider an import feature in the future.

Thanks a lot for helping us!

Now that I have found that it is possible to get Facebook events locally and get them into a CSV, the thought of then being able to get them into something that also looks nice, Elfsight, now that is really appealing. This would be a game changer for what we offer to our website visitors.

Thank you very much for the info, @Phil!

I really hope we’ll give this feature a go, at least I’ve reminded our devs about it

I would like to see an implementation of a bulk upload (from a CSV file, for example) or Google Sheets (or Airtable, Excel) integration for the Calendar Widget. Currently, updating the calendar requires manual input, which can be time-consuming and inefficient. It would be much more convenient and efficient if we could automate this process through bulk upload or integration with Google Sheets or any other. This would also open the possibility to create dynamic automations using Zapier, for example - it would, as a plus, free your team from having to integrate these processes with Zapier on your end. It’s a win-win.

This feature would greatly improve the user experience and make it easier for my clients to keep their calendar up-to-date. I believe that many other users would also benefit from this feature.

@Heydel thanks a lot for your awesome post, and welcome to the community! :tada:

I love your ideas and see the rationale in implementing them (or at least some of them  )

You know, we have similar requests in our Wishlist already, so you may want to vote for them to stay updated:

Anyways, I’ll keep you posted on the progress here too so that you don’t miss anything

Thanks a lot for your help, enjoy your stay!

Yes, please! Right now Common Ninja is the only website widget service that offers Airtable integration, but the syncing is unreliable. This would be such a game-changer for no-code/low-code web design.

Hi,
I have exactly the same need because I have 150 events to load.
Don’t you have any solution if we send you a file ?
Can’t you load the data in the database ?
I hope you’ll have a solution because we will have more than 50 events each week.
Thanks

@CrocTonPlaisir I am really sorry, but there is no way to upload events via CSV for now.

We do realize how important this feature can be, especially for users handling a huge number of events.

We’ll try to consider this opportunity in the future, and I’ll make sure to update you here in case of any news :slightly_smiling_face:

Hey guys

We’d like to inform you that we’ve released an option to import events from Google Calendars. Although this isn’t the integration you were looking for in this thread, we think you might find it helpful too.

Check this post to find more details :slightly_smiling_face:

Note: If this integration covered your case, let us know in the comments

I have 80+ events to manually import and this tool has no csv upload functionally after 4 years of asking. Which competitors should I choose that does have a basic csv upload functionally?

Hello there, @Jed

We don’t talk about competitors here, but your thoughts are super helpful. We’ll have this idea in mind and try to consider it in the future updates.

Many thanks for sharing your feedback us :slightly_smiling_face:

I also need this feature

Adding a bump to this because I run a community calendar, and this would save me tens of hours each month importing events from all the various places. How can we get this accelerated in the dev system? So many messages of “we will consider this” for over 2 years now but nothing is happening.
