Thank you so much for upvoting this request – we really appreciate your support!
To give you a bit more insight, we prioritize feature requests based on two main factors: complexity and the number of votes.
Right now, we have a bunch of requests with higher priority and our devs are focused on them. You can keep track of any new developments by checking our Changelog or dedicated threads on the Wishlist.
Although this feature isn’t currently on our roadmap, we see its potential value and certainly aren’t dismissing it. At this point, however, it’s challenging to give any predictions.
Let’s hope the devs will be able to include it into one of the future updates. I’ll promptly inform you here if anything changes
Yes. Our use for the app is for a weekend-long convention. Google Calendar is just not efficient for that use. We’d prefer Google sheets but could work with Excel, or tab-delimited file.
Agreed with this need. Also put on multiple 2- and 3-day continuing ed conventions with coinciding events happening throughout the days but no need for the rest of the month or even week
Google Calendar integration is nice…but limited. With CSV, would could capture more pieces of metadata for field mapping like category/type that isn’t supported by current Google Calendar integration.
I also would love support for Notion and similar tools like Google Sheets and Airtable. People are not working in CSV format natively obviously. It’s an extra step to export CSV from the working platform. Thanks!
Thanks a lot for your comment, @Tom_Parent, and welcome to the community!
That’s a great suggestion to add Notion integration! I’ve updated the title of this request and included Notion. While it’s hard to make any predictions, let’s hope our devs can consider this for future updates. We’ll be sure to update you here if there’s any news!
I really need this feature! Last year I had to manually upload over 450 events to the event calendar widget and it was hell. We are running the festival again this year and I am not looking forward to the tedium of uploading all that data.
As mentioned by others, the Google Calendar integration doesn’t work for us, because we need categories, buttons and other metadata that is not supported by the integration, and even if it was supported, it would be the same painful process to copy data from our scheduling table to Google Calendar.
CSV is a great solution because, whatever program you use to organize your data (Excel, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, Coda, SQL database), you will often be able to export it as CSV.
We do realize the importance of this feature for our users and completely get your excitement. We wish we could release the new features faster, but with the high number of requests and the complexities involved, it’s quite challenging to speed things up.
You’re absolutely right that this idea is quite popular, and while we can’t give an exact timeline for now, we’re hopeful the dev team will consider it in upcoming updates.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as we have any news
