So glad you’re doing Dropbox links! Can you please explain the parameter bit though? What should we be changing from just copying a Dropbox link to make it work? Thanks
Hi there and welcome to the Community, @Steve_Folland ![]()
Sorry for the confusion! The link in this post was converted into the wrong format, I’ve adjusted it ![]()
Here is an example of the original link - https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/mewxjn2g7n92a8a7rup5a/Judas_Priest-Painkiller-1.mp3?rlkey=jz6sz6vut1899pxg9gx5m75vq&e=1.
To make it work fine in the widget, you just need to replace e at the end with dl:
Give it a try and let me know if it worked ![]()
Thanks for the reply!
I’ve tried this and it just hangs after pasting.
So, it doesn’t reject the link, but it’s like it’s thinking about it without end. And if you go back to the player, the link is listed (just as a url) but doesn’t play.
This is the url I was pasting
https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/tgxr8htrpgc8fy3z1dfjr/Being-Freelance-Katie-Tucker-Audio.mp3?rlkey=jxqajajkytri5q99jc3abmai2&dl=0
Which I made:
Hi there, @Steve_Folland ![]()
I’ve just checked your website and see that audio added through this link is played correctly now:
Could you please confirm if the issue has been resolved on your end?
Oh that’s weird - it doesn’t work for me (Safari). When I paste the link with the correct end code it just hangs like it’s thinking. Then if I play on the player as you’ve done, nothing happens. And if I go back to edit it, I don’t get anything but the url.
Ah, I see this.
Please let me check this issue with the devs. I’ll get back to you once I have their response ![]()
Could you please specify the iOS version of your device? This would help understand what causes the issue ![]()
MacOS 26.1
Thank you so much!
I’ve passed it on to the devs, and we’ll update you as soon as we have any news ![]()
Hey @Steve_Folland,
Stepping in for Max today to follow up on the issue ![]()
The devs let me know that they tweaked the links to the audio-tracks a bit in your widget – the changes will be present in the editor, but they’re not published yet. And it seems like the Audio Player should be working fine now.
It’d really help us to if you tested it on your end. Could you do it and let me know how it works for you?
Hi, thanks for following up. So - can confirm I can now play the added tracks and can also go back in and edit to add imagery etc. But I just tried adding a new url (and changed ending to =1) but it’s doing the exact same thing. Just hanging with a circle after adding.
Thanks a lot for testing everything out!
Now that we know that our solution worked on your end, I’ll try and get you more defined steps on how to make everything work – stay tuned ![]()
Hello @Steve_Folland ![]()
Coming back with the news for you!
It looks like the dl=1 parameter in the Dropbox links doesn’t work on iPhones. Instead, you’ll need to use raw=1. For example, the link you tried to add would need to be updated like this:
Original: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/xa31k843nl1rv3aa4w2wq/125-DIFTK-v2.mp3?rlkey=o592poqfl0c3wjqy3l797owj8&dl=1

Give that a try and let me know how it goes ![]()
