Improve Integration With Google Sites

Google Sites integration with Elfsight widgets could be improved at least with the Social Share Buttons. This is due “because the widget is installed in an iframe due to Google Sites CMS’s peculiarities”.

The two issues that need to be fixed with Social Share Buttons if possible are:

  1. The Social Share Buttons only work as “Inline” buttons and do not work as “Floating” Buttons.

  2. The Pinterest button works fine to save images from a web page except it does not work with Android phones. This should probably be considered a bug fix since the Elfsight Social Share Button widget does work with other platforms such as Chromeboxes with the Chrome OS and Chrome browser, where you can save pictures to your Pinterest account using this widget. It is possible that the Pinterest button does not work with other platforms (like iOS, tablets, etc.) that we did not test. We only know that the Pinterest button does not work with Android phones.

Folks, our former Wishlist portal, where our users shared their requests and suggestions, was transferred to this forum. You’re most welcome to vote, add new ideas, and leave your comments here — we surely will consider them all! :star_struck:

Hello,

Thanks a lot for adding your idea and for this detailed request!

I’m truly sorry that you have to come across issues while using our widgets, and that sometimes we’re really cannot affect some things not depending on us. Unfortunately, you’re right that Google Sites do not support floating widgets and at the moment we don’t have a solution to bypass this nuisance. However, we’ll keep searching and hopefully, we’ll be able to make all our widget work there just fine

The same is for the Pinterest button - we do believe we will manage to fix its behaviour and make it work correctly on all the devices.

Thank you so much for helping us and for your understanding!
