Hi, Can you please add a feature to add the blog post by pasting .HTML?
Thanks,
Hi @AOX_Digital
Nice thought! Let’s see if it gets traction with others
Thank you so much!
While our app doesn’t have an HTML editor, the most important functions are available by pressing /. Here is an article explaining things in more detail - Blog: How to work with text editor
Could you please let me know if these options cover your case, or you’d prefer having an HTML editor?
I just did that, and it still looks like this. Can this turn into readble content?
Thanks
Got you! The Code option helps you display the code in your blog, but it can’t be turned into a readable content.
For this purpose, the HTML Editor would be just the thing, and we’ll try to consider this opportunity within this request
Hi Max,
I would appreciate to know if there is any progress with html editor. This videotoblog.ai program, which I think it is a great tool to turn my Youtbube video to a blog post, is based on the HTML editor. TIA
Hi @AOX_Digital
You see, we have a set roadmap for our upcoming implementations. Integrating new ideas there can be challenging, no matter how good they are, as we have to balance their popularity with how easy they are to implement.
If more people support your idea, it might be prioritized sooner, but, unfortunately, we can’t make any promises for now.
I’ll make sure to update you here if anything changes
Thank you for your response.

I too would welcome a html editor for both the intro text and body text. Thhe blog widgit whilst good, is limited. As an educator my posts are about teaching people about tech and teaching, and I need to be able to put in more than one image or video or really have a lot more control. So what I plan to do is use the blog widgit to shocase my posts images, create date, titles and a short into then link to a full and detailed page on my google site. But as there isn’t a Read More option, and no html editor, or a hyperlink option, I can’t do that. Until more features are added to the widgit, the ability to add html would be a huge advantage. This editor has html ability, couldnt that be incorporated into the blog widgit?
hey , can you use the Link in text to as more info..we do it like this
Doesnt solve all ur issues .. just thought it might help
Yes and thanks for the suggestion, but I require full html. It’s not just the more link, I want to be able to embed other platforms to describe details of my post as well as add code blocks in different coloured blocks etc.
Thank you so much for the feedback!
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to add the HTML Editor from the forum to the Blog widget. However, I completely get your point and agree that it would be really helpful in some cases.
Let’s hope this idea gets more traction and the devs will consider it in the future updates
I understand, thanks Max. There are always work arounds which I will implement until if or when Elfsight can accommodate.
