I am also having this issue. I’ve tried various methods of uploading the photo and made sure the photo is publicly available. I see that the issue hasn’t been resolved - I just want to throw myself in there to let you know more people are affected by this.

I had this issue initially. What works for me is placing the image file in our organization’s Google Shared Drive and making sure it’s publicly available to all. Hope this datapoint helps troubleshoot the core issue. Good luck!

Yep, it’s a necessary condition for the image display, but, unfortunately, there are cases when even publicly available images don’t show up in the widget and hopefully the devs will be able to resolve it.
