Hi there,
Thank you for submitting your request!
We’ll try to consider Goodreads Reviews to implement in future updates, thanks a lot for helping us ![]()
Can we get a custom widget for displaying bookshelves from Goodreads?
@user1744 welcome to the community, very happy to welcome you here!
I’ve moved your request to the thread with the similar idea, and I’ll keep you updated about all the changes here ![]()
I’m afraid we don’t have this very request in the works at the moment, but if it gets more views, it will increase the odds for a faster development ![]()
Hi!
It would be awesome if you could add Goodreads into the pool of platforms for reviews. This is such a great app, but authors rely on goodreads for their best reviews and it’s a shame it’s not included.
Thanks!
Couldn’t agree more, @L112, that it would be a great option for book fans, thanks a lot for your suggestion!
I’m afraid it’s not the easiest reviews source to add at the moment, but we’ll do our best to find a solution and add it to the widget. I’ll keep you updated here ![]()

Friends, I’m happy to say that we’ve started working on this feature! ![]()
It’s currently in the Design stage, and we’ll keep you updated on the progress here ![]()
This is an incredible idea! A Goodreads reviews widget is exactly what the literary community and book retailers have been waiting for.
Beyond just importing comments, it would be a game-changer to have a Book Rating Widget (similar to your Google Reviews stars). It should display the average rating score and the total number of voters—for example: ‘4.92 rating by 158,489 users’. Having this as a standalone badge or a compact header would be perfect for product pages.
I also have a technical question: since Goodreads officially deprecated its public API for new developer keys a while ago, I’m curious how you plan to handle the automation and data synchronization? Are you using a specific workaround or scraping method to keep the data updated?
Lastly, do you have a rough ETA on when we can expect this plugin to be live? Can’t wait to test it out on our website!
Hi there, @Anri ![]()
Thanks a lot for the feedback!
We already have a request for the Rating widget and you can upvote it here - Rating Widget.
Regarding the Goodreads source implementation, the deprecation of the public API didn’t affect our review provider, since they are using a scraping method. Worry not, everything will be working fine ![]()
It’s hard to share the ETA for now, but we promise to keep you updated on any further developments!
