Forms: Receive files as attachments 🚀

We’re excited to announce that files in Form submissions will now appear as attachments! :rocket:

Previously, attached files were always shown as links only.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Files will now appear as both attachments and links.

  • If a file is over 5MB, it will only show as a link.

  • Some file types can’t be displayed as attachments. Here’s a list of unsupported formats:

'exe', 'dll', 'so', 'sh', 'bat', 'cmd', 'msi', 'com',

'php', 'phtml', 'php3', 'php4', 'php5', 'php7', 'phps', 'phar',
'js', 'jsp', 'jspx', 'asp', 'aspx', 'cgi', 'pl', 'py', 'rb',

'htaccess', 'config', 'conf', 'ini',

'zip', 'rar', '7z', 'tar', 'gz',

How can we disable this?
It uses up mailbox memory unnecessarily.
I am not satisfied with this option.

I am really sorry that the new feature didn’t meet your case. Unfortunately, it’s impossible to disable this option at the moment, but I’ve added this suggestion to the Wishlist on your behalf - Option to display attached files as links only.

Could you disable ours so that it remains the same on our account as before? It is so unusual for our purposes.

I completely understand your concern, and I’m really sorry this change doesn’t meet your needs :pensive_face:

Unfortunately, there is no way to disable this feature, even for a specific widget or account. We’ll keep tabs on this Wishlist request and if it becomes more popular, we’ll try to consider this option!
