Many lease and rental contracts can be paid either in advance or in arrears. eg monthly in advance or monthly in arrears. Last time I looked, monthly, quarterly or annually in advance were not available. Can you please fix - it can be done in excel, on an HP12C and most other financial calculators Thank you!

No. In any asset finance calculation, and where we want to solve for payment, we need the following: Cost price. Term. Number of payments (payable monthly or quarterly etc). Interest rate. State if payments to be made in ADVANCE or ARREARS. Your calculators, when I last looked, don’t give the option of paying in ADVANCE. Solving for ADVANCE payments is available in Excel, HP12C, Sharp, Spreadsheet Converter etc etc. Please advise. Need an agent, not a chatbot.

Although we don’t have ready-made templates with advance payments fields, you can manually add them to your widget.
For example, you can create a Choice field to select Advance or Arrears payments and assign separate values to each option. Based on the option selected, its value will be pulled to your formula:
