Would be great, if we were able to export configurations and import them back in if something was accidentally deleted or if something else went wrong.

A few years back, I hired someone who seemed like a great fit for our e-commerce company. However, I soon discovered that this individual was all talk and no action—never even logging in. During a one-on-one production meeting, it became clear that this person had been dishonest for months. I terminated their employment on the spot. Unfortunately, by the time I made the 30-minute journey back to my office, they had already logged into our e-commerce store and deleted years of work—thousands of hours! Only one of the apps we used had automatic backups.
The financial and emotional impact of this situation on me and my family was devastating.
I’m concerned that Elfsight might not offer automatic backups for the work I’m putting into their platform. It would be a huge disappointment to invest significant time and effort only to find out that my work isn’t backed up regularly—especially in case of any future issues with… evil individuals.
If it ever happened again, I would like to be able to contact Elfsight and say, please rewind my account back to a specific time / date - so I can recover all the work I put into my Elfsight account.
Thank you.
I’m so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience, @BWO
The good news is that we do keep the data on our end, so we can restore your widget to a specific point in time, just contact our Support Team
However, I think it would be great to be able to restore data right from a widget, though, so I’ll leave your request in our Wishlist
Thanks a lot for your help!
Hello Elsight Team,
I would like to kindly request the addition of a Widget Backup - Download feature. This would allow users to easily back up their widget configurations and download them locally for safekeeping or migration purposes. Having this functionality would greatly enhance usability and provide peace of mind in case of accidental changes or data loss.
Thank you for considering this enhancement.
Best regards,
Hi @cooprativa_Agencia, thanks a lot for sharing your suggestion in our wishlist!
I agree, being able to export data sounds like a handy option, and I hope we’ll consider it in the future updates. I’ve also moved your idea to another topic with a similar request so that we keep all related comments in one place
Many thanks for your contribution!
