Is there anything I’m doing wrong to get the user’s local time zone to show up? All of my events are online so it’s important people are seeing the correct time.
When I look, it shows the events in my local time zone (EDT) just fine:
But my friend in Minnesota (CDT) which should only be an hour behind EDT is seeing this:
Also notice it says UTC for them but doesn’t specific any time zone on mine. Any ideas? Thanks!

I’ve tested the widget and it shows the correct time for my time zone (UTC+3).
1. Your time zone (UTC-4)
The thing is that the time zone in the widget is determined by the time set in the operating system of the device. Could you please ask your friend to share his physical location and send a screenshot of the time zone and time on his device?
As for the UTC, it’s not displayed for you because your time zone matches the time zone of the event.
It appears that it’s showing the wrong times for certain people. People located in areas in CDT are sending screenshots showing everything an hour earlier than it should be. It says UTC -5, which should be correct for people on CDT, but all those times are displaying an hour earlier than they should be.
This is a screenshot from someone in PDT which should be UTC -7, but the times are all displaying an additional 3 hours earlier than they should be.

Looks like it’s still showing everything 3 hours earlier than it should. I set my phone to Pacific time and these are the results:
