Be able to manually enter the date instead of clicking through the calendar.

You’re welcome. For an experience, try to make a historical event for of D-Day on June 6, 1944.
You have to click the calendar year field.
Then find and click the year range,
Then find and click that range,
Then find and click the Year.
I have hundreds of dates in history to enter.
Ah, I see your pain and agree that entering the date manually would be handier in this case. We’ll try to think about this improvement down the line
