It would be perfect if a visitor could leave his/her real name on the comment without login in to facebook or google.

Being able either to translate/localize the names generated for anonymous comments or simply set a fixed default name would be very useful.

Hi Helga,

The comments widget is a great tool and I have a long line of customers waiting that we can use it. Unfortunately, and as discussed with you, it’s not usable for me/for my customers, until there will be the possibility to insert a real name.

I am working mainly in the German speaking markets (Switzerland, Germany and Austria) and customers /end consumers expect mainly German sounding names.

English fantasy names f.e. Frozen Tiger, Wicked Canyon, etc. imply to end consumers that it’s not a real end consumer comment or not a serious person behind the comment, and that’s the main issue.

I can see that for American/UK customers those fantasy names may work, but not for the German speaking community. So I hope this possiility will happen within the next quarter, the devs would make many customers happy with this move :wink:

At this point, it’s hard to share the ETA for this feature, but we completely understand its importance for our users and see that it’s really demanded.

I totally agree. Technical wise it will be the same, initials or full name. I hope it comes soon, I have many customers waiting for this… can’t use it the way it is.
